Keep post very clean, no sexual content is allowed, anything that would break the rules of Proboards must be taken off the site.
Please don’t join a thread that is closed or private. All threads should be labeled appropriately. If a thread is available to all that can go to the area it’s in put [open] after the title of the thread. For private threads put the names of the characters allowed for the thread after the title also in ‘[]’ ‘{}’ or ‘()’. Be respectful. If it’s not opened and your character’s name isn’t listed don’t post in it. If you really wish to join in ask the others in the thread if they’ll be kind enough to let you in. You wouldn’t want them just jumping into an invite only thread of yours so please do the same.
Be polite to everyone regardless of their standing on the site. This including criticizing, harassing, flaming, baiting, tolling, spamming, and anything else that may lead to any drama. If you’re unsure what any of these are feel free to ask an Admin, Mod, or simply do an online search. Such actions will be dealt with by staff swiftly and harshly with zero tolerance. Even if you don’t like someone we ask that you respect them and their right to their opinions. Remember, the Staff are here to help and keep the site balanced. Even if it may not seem like it at times, we’re always working on ways to better the way in any way, shape or form. Any disputes and/or arguments regarding other members, staff, or RP posts must be brought up to an Admin.
There is a no word minimum per Role-Play post.
Do not God-Mod. This can be summed up as controlling someone else’s character. A good example would be not just hitting in a fight but any actions that assumes the actions of another character like slapping them without giving them a chance or assuming a character, no matter how social, is going to automatically take an offered hand. This also includes dodging every attack in an attack. You don’t have to take an unrealistically serious hit, we just ask that you don’t magically dodge everything.
Do not Meta-game. This is bringing your knowledge to your character. Like say you play a villain and you’re looking to do something bad to a good guy. You can just go ‘I personally know the good character is dating this weaker character so I’ll kidnap them’. Unless your character has learned the knowledge in a thread somehow or it’s very common knowledge this would be Meta-gaming. Another great example is your character knowing let’s say a very old legend that only certain people know just because you know it. Keep your knowledge separate from what your character would know about.
Proper grammar and punctuation is expected when making a Role-Play post. While you may chat-speak in OOC and in the cbox, this is not allowed in any way shape or form in-character. Although we as staff realize members are of all different literary levels, we do expect proper grammar to be attempted.
Advertising anywhere other than in the advertisements board, whether it is in the cbox, via Private Message, or anywhere else, will result in your character or account being deleted immediately without any warning depending on the severity of the offense. If this happens a second time there will be a permanent ban on the IP.
All threads that haven’t ended must be kept active. If a member in a thread is an inactive member, you may skip them provided you have an in-character excuse (A.K.A, their character is rendered unconscious, unable to act, or incapacitated in some way. Do not kill off their character.) If a thread becomes inactive for more than a week without a member giving notice, Staff members reserve the right to archive the thread.
