SUMMONING SYSTEM
Summoning is useful ability for any ninja to have. Not only can it be used to summon creatures, but it can also be used to summon items, weapons, and such.
ACQUIRING SUMMONING JUTSU
Once you have Kuchiyose no Jutsu, you are free to apply for summons of any kind, be it objects or creatures. You can even delegate some of your carried items to summoning scrolls if you feel like that would help you travel lighter or keep secrets from the opposition. Summoning items will be a problem, but in the case of creatures, there will be a limit to what you can summon.
Summoning Creatures
[/b] Boss – These are the most powerful creatures available in a group of creatures. These creatures can only be summoned by ninja who are very much like them in power, like village Kage or really powerful Jounin.
You may be thinking, “OMG, my genin, can sumonz nao, I’ma pwn j00 with mah gi-ant lazerz11!11!!!one”. Well... guess again, because even if you manage to register some huge-ass creature that could reduce a mountain to rubble, you will not be able to summon the creature if you are not strong enough to summon them. So you will probably never see a genin summoning a Gamabunta on this site.
Here is a list of creatures types:
[A-B RANK] Guardian – Like bosses, creatures of this level are quite powerful, but not as much as their leader. In general, Jounin-ranked ninja are the ones able to summon them.
[B-C RANK] Fighter – This is the general point at which creatures are able to pose a threat to most shinobi, and must not be underestimated. Chuunin are usually able to call forth these creatures.
[C-D RANK] Support – These creatures are able to fight, there’s no mistake, but they wouldn’t really pose much of a threat to most ninja in combat, so their use in combat is to be thought out. With some effort and significant loss of chakra, a genin level ninja can summon these.
[D-E RANK] Grunt – These are the weakest creatures of a given contract, they are usually still in their early growth stages and would pose no threat to even genin. However, their real world use has been proven and do have a purpose in life besides growing up.
[/ul]
Although the Kuchiyose no Jutsu technique is a C ranked technique, that does not mean you will use a C ranks-worth of Chakra for every summon. Your Chakra Point usage for each summon is dependent on the rank of summon that you use. Each rank of summon takes up the same amount of Chakra Points as the equivalent ranking technique. Meaning that summoning a B ranked summon will cost 50 CP, just as if it were a regular technique. This is done not only for balance purposes (such as making sure Genin aren't able to summon ridiculously powerful creatures), but also because it has been shown in Canon that it is required to use more chakra to summon more powerful creatures.

SUMMONING CONTRACTS
[/size]
This is the method that ties a summoner to a given object or creature. It can be made in the form of a seal written on an object or a pact between two creatures. Either way, without these, you cannot summon anything at all. Making them is quite easy. You can make summoning contracts for virtually any object in your possession, but you don’t have to apply for them like customs; just put what you want “stored/sealed” within a scroll next to the item. Just make sure you message one of the staff if you do.
In the case of creatures, however, it is required that you register the contract. This grants you the ability to summon any creatures within the species (Frogs/Toads, Dogs, Turtles, Sharks, etc.). However, even though you are the one who applied for the contract, you are NOT allowed to possess the contract scroll under any circumstance. The reason for that is that others may want to use them and we would like for them to have a chance at making a contract for the, especially if you decide to take a leave of absence.
